Plan

Currently I'm thinking I will spend the winter season in the Sea of Cortez, which is the high season.

Then in the spring of 2011, I have a number of options.

1) Baja Bash back up the coast to SF (painful 2 week trip into the substantial wind and current).
2) Continue downwind to Hawaii for a month or 2 and then return to the mainland via Canada for the summer season and finally return back to the San Francisco bay in the early autumn. This is the dream tradewind route, but involves many weeks of offshore sailing.
3) Leave the boat in La Paz, Mexico for the summer (hurricane season).
4) Continue south and maybe join the Pacific Puddle Jump rally to the Marquesas in French Polynesia.

I'm leaving the itinerary open so I can make things up as I go along depending on how it goes. I used this open formula last time and found the less pressure with deadlines I have the more I enjoy the trip.
